OUR COMMUNITY
Formation for the whole woman.
Rooted in faith. Grounded in practice. Made to be lived together.
A future worth inheriting
We gather to grow in spirit, body, mind and calling. African women are at the heart of this work, and women everywhere are welcome. The aim is to develop women who can lead, exercise sound judgement and pass on what they have learnt.
What we learn and practise today becomes part of what we pass on.
Experience in service of the community
The project draws on its founder's experience in engineering, enterprise building, board leadership and developing people across Kenya and Iceland. That work includes coaching project managers, teaching energy economics at graduate level and leading a women's leadership and growth programme.
Training in civil, structural and environmental engineering, a master's in sustainable energy engineering, IPMA Level C certification and a Certified Natural Health Professional qualification inform the work. They bring attention to the whole woman: her capacity to make decisions, care for herself, steward resources and build what others can rely on.
QUALIFICATIONS BEHIND THE WORK
These qualifications are held by the founder and inform the experience shared with the community.

Honesty, integrity, love and excellence guide how we learn and serve. Experience is offered here as something useful to share. Every woman brings something, and every woman has room to grow.
1,000 women. Five years.
Our goal is to reach 1,000 women in five years through life skills, business coaching, live coaching and community. Alongside that work, our Financial Emergency Room offers support with immediate needs, currently capped at US$100 per member.
Our longer-term ambition is a compassionate capital fund that gives women room to build and innovate. We want to see women equipped for employment, sustainable businesses and the responsibility of creating opportunities for others.
Support the community ↗A rhythm we can return to
We meet for morning calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and for Sharpening Sessions on Wednesdays. Between gatherings, Scripture, reflection and practical action give us something to work through and bring back to the room.
Find your next gathering ↗Wise hearted
The Skillful Women Project takes its name from Exodus 35:25.
Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun — blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen.
An older translation calls them wise hearted. None of them are named. What is recorded is that they could do something, and that what they made was used.
